Our commitment is to quickly and conveniently improve an outdated method with a holistic approach that integrates the best of traditional as well as innovative and disruptive practices that are safe and based on natural science, driving innovation that optimizes energy efficiency, reduces greenhouse gas emissions, and achieves cost reductions (resources/infrastructure) by reducing fuel consumption as well as consequential cost reductions by reducing emissions.

Our Goal

Our goal is to lead the way in sustainable fuel combustion, reducing emissions and enhancing energy productivity. With our proven and flexible automotive solution (with particles reduction up to 94%, NO2 reduction up to 50%, and average reduction in fuel consumption of 25%), our aim is to lead the way with a product solution in sustainable automotive combustion, reducing emissions and fuel consumption with a fast and convenient market roll-out.

 

Our Results and Opportunities in Automotive Combustion

With our innovation developments, we focus on certain key categories of greenhouse gas emission sources, such as mobile combustion (on road vehicles).

With our QFT ENERGY AUTOMOTIVE Solution, we improve the efficiency in automotive fuel combustion by reducing incomplete combustion, obtaining a reduction of fuel consumption with respective cost reductions, a reduction of greenhouse gas emissions (supporting car manufacturer’s fleets with more strict regulations), a reduction of particle emissions with consequential cost reductions on emission control and filtration systems as well as consequential cost, reducing maintenance and handling of exhaust by-products, and an increase of engine power and torque with respective cost reductions and emission reductions through operating smaller but equivalent combustion engines.

 

More Efficient Mobile Combustion

Automotive combustion technologies have received attention due to their environmental impact. Reducing emissions and improving fuel consumption in this context is a pressing concern. Our innovation in fuel combustion has been demonstrated with the QFT ENERGY AUTOMOTIVE Solution, which offers an innovative way to improve mobile combustion, enhancing the combustion efficiency in automotive systems, all without the need for intrusive software or hardware changes.

Flexible materials and specificationsFuture materials, sizes and formfactors can be chosen freely. Currently, our product solution is crafted from an aluminum carrier material (AlMgSi0.5), the compact square bar product solution measures 60 x 20 x 100 mm and weighs 300 grams.

Non-intrusive: Our solution does not interfere with the combustion process itself. It is about flexibly supplementing and improving existing hardware and processes without the need for costly or complex modifications.

Versatile compatibility: Within a few minutes, our QFT ENERGY AUTOMOTIVE Solution can be easily placed with any existing combustion system, irrespective of the manufacturer and hardware size. It should strategically be placed near the fuel combustion process, ensuring maximum impact.

 

Results in Automotive Applications with Diesel and Petrol fired Vehicles

Results have been obtained through comprehensive testing in real-world conditions (used for certifying emission levels of cars launched into the market), conducted as part of the QFT Automotive RDE PEMS Test, covering both diesel and petrol vehicles. The test was performed and the data was verified by TÜV Hessen (automotive certification body) in Germany.

Particle (PM2.5) emission reduction: Particulate emissions were reduced up to 94%, making a substantial impact on air quality and overall environmental health.

NO2 emission reduction: For nitrogen dioxide, an especially harmful pollutant, reductions of up to 50% were verified, further enhancing the positive environmental impact of our innovative solution.

Fuel efficiency increase: On average, fuel consumption was reduced by 25%, significantly contributing to cost savings and a reduced carbon footprint.
